Models give back to community
It humbles the models to appreciate what they have in life and assist others.
The South Coast Models gave back to their community by hosting a Winter Drive in June.
In an attempt to help 4 Paws and a Tail Rescue and the Umzinto Child Welfare, the young women requested blankets, canned food (including pet food) and cash donations.
On Youth Day last week, they were spotted at Scottburgh Mall encouraging the public to donate blankets.
“Charity is compulsory for South Coast Models because we believe in giving back, understanding hardship and helping the needy,” said South Coast Models coach and Park Rynie local, Niksha Sevnaran.
“It humbles the models to appreciate what they have in life and assist others.”
The models have been part of other charity events in the past such as assisting Khanya Hospice continue its free palliative nursing care for cancer patients, charity fairs in support of child welfare, Scottburgh’s classic car show to assist a local old age home, and they were able to help District 49 Place of Safety Children’s Home in Umkomaas.
“We are the future generation and compassion is key for the agency to grow as a team,” added Sevnaran.
“We thank everyone who was able to support our Winter Drive.”
