New TLBs for Ugu

Deputy mayor councillor Mandla Chiya handed over the TLBs to the operators.

Ugu District Municipality has acquired three new TLBs to assist with its pipe repair turnaround time.

The handover occurred at the disaster centre in Oslo Beach last Wednesday.

Some Ugu water trucks and TLBs were burnt during the July 2021 unrest at the Ugu market in Mkholombe area.

Deputy mayor councillor Mandla Chiya handed over the TLBs to the operators.

Chiya said he hoped that this will help with issues such as underground pipes that need to be fixed quickly.

“These will help us with the delivery expected from us. We are hoping that they will be used accordingly and help speed up the process of service delivery in the district.”
