Artists prepare for annual exhibition
The opening night will be on Thursday, July 28 at 17:30.
At present, every home studio of each artist in the local art club Art by the Sea, is a hive of activity, as artists are busy preparing paintings for their annual August Exhibition in the Margate Art Museum.
The exhibition promises to capture the interest of both locals and up-country visitors alike and the focus will be to showcase the beauty of the Southern KZN coastline and interior.
The opening night will be on Thursday, July 28 at 17:30. Wine and snacks will be served.
In between though, artists will find time to attend the weekly Tuesday gatherings of the club.
For July the following activities are scheduled: Perfecting Pastel Paintings (5th), Painting Faces and Scenery of Rural Transkei (12th), Creating an Abstract Painting from an Ordinary Photograph (19th), and closing off with Art Appreciation (26th).
