All set for Oppi Kus

With Covid-19 regulations lifted, get your dancing shoes on for Oppi Kus Musiekfees this coming weekend, Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2.
The highly anticipated two-day event will bring top musicians from around the country to Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground.
Going back two years, Oppi Kus Musiekfees will officially be the first major event on the South Coast, bringing a much-needed boost for tourism, and with no limit to gatherings one is not obligated to wear a mask.
This comes as health minister Joe Phaahla last Wednesday (June 23) repealed the regulations necessitating the need to wear masks, with immediate effect. He also revoked the limit on public gatherings and vaccine status checks at ports of entry.

The five-star artist line-up includes Wynand and Cheree, The Campbells, Nicholas Louw, Steve Hofmeyr, Demi-Lee, Dagbreek, Nicholis Louw, Adam Tas and Jakkie Louw to name a few.

Round Tabler Shane Woolley said they are expecting between 3000 and 3500 attendees at the venue.
“We are excited to bring this event to the coast to raise funds for charitable causes,” he said.
The Tablers have been working around the clock this week in preparation for the music festival, and by Wednesday a massive 90 metre tent was pitched on the rugby field.
“Bring your friends, family and the children. Don’t forget to wear warm clothes, chairs and tables will be provided. There will also be a dance area, so come and have a fantastic time,” he added.
For parents, there will be a special play area for the children. There will be plenty of food stalls, however no alcohol may be brought into the venue.
The South Coast Warriors will be allowing limited parking on the field at a cost of R30.
