Head-on collision in Ramsgate leaves one dead

This particular area is becoming somewhat notorious.

A serious collision on the R61 near the Ramsgate intersection yesterday left one person dead and two injured.

Shawn Herbst of Netcare 911 said the accident involved two vehicles.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man on the road who had been flung out of the vehicle.

“It’s alleged that a vehicle made an U-turn and apparently collided with another vehicle,” he said.

The scene would be under police investigation.

All emergency services were on the scene.
