Gamer places third in tournament

Warhammer games are similar to Dungeons and Dragons.

The South Coast’s Carl Coetzee, a Warhammer gamer recently participated in two tournaments based on two Warhammer games, Age of Sigmar and BloodBowl in Durban.

The event was hosted by the Durban Wargaming Club.

“I was in the BloodBowl tournament with my team of Wood Elves and it was a fun day long tournament,” he said.

Carl placed third and was awarded a prize for his great effort.

Prizes were sponsored by local hobby stores.

Warhammer clubs are arts and crafts hobby clubs that build and paint figurines based on a science fiction universe called Warhammer 40K.

People are then brought together to assemble and paint the Warhammer figurines based on different factions and/or use the completed figurines to play on a table top game similar to Dungeons and Dragons.
