Scouting was started in 1907 by Lord Robert Baden-Powell whose vision was to create a better world.
It combines adventure with solid values that inspire you to leave the world a little better than you found it.
A dedicated team from the Rotary Club of Port Shepstone is ready to re-establish the Port Shepstone Boy Scouts Group. So parents, if your sons wish to join the Cubs or Scouts movement, take the first step and contact either Ronald Mark or Shamin Maharaj who are more than willing to get them enrolled.
Scout group leader, Ronald Mark said: “We are hoping to revive the Port Shepstone Boy Scouts Group and are looking for volunteers, sponsors, parents and ex-Scouters to support us in this initiative. We extend an invitation to anyone who may be willing to help, to contact one of the Scout leaders for more information on the progress made thus far, and further needs required to officially start the programme”.
The Scouts and Cubs will be sharing premises with the Girl Guides which is located in Mitchell Road, Port Shepstone.
