Marburg News: Andhra Sabha to host AGM
The organisation will host its 67th Annual General Meeting.
The Port Shepstone and District Andhra Sabha, which was established in 1955 and is affiliated to the Andhra Maha Sabha of South Africa will host its 67th annual general meeting at the Andhra Sabha Hall on Wednesday, July 20 at 18:30.
The officials and members invite all to attend the AGM. On the submission and acceptance of all annual reports, there will be an election of new office bearers as per the constitution.
Current chairperson, Reggie Kistamurthy who has voluntarily led the organisation during the challenging Covid-19 pandemic period is looking forward to new members at the election, to join the executive committee as office bearers as well as on adhoc sub-committees.

Golf day
Pro-Vision Golf and Social Club will be hosting its 15th anniversary gold day at the Port Shepstone Country Club on Sunday, July 24.
This golf day is held to raise much-needed funds for its golf development programme as well as to assist various charitable organisations as part of its social responsibility commitment. To ensure a successful day the club appeals to businesses to sponsor or donate one of the following prizes. A hole/tee box sponsor for R400; two identical prizes in lieu of cash; cash in lieu of prizes and hampers /vouchers or company paraphernalia.

Temple prayers
* The Shree Raam Narayan Mandir in Marburg (Dairy Road) invites all to its annual Ganga Pooja at the temple on Saturday, July 30 at 14:00. Prasad and supper will be served.
The temple will also host its Pancho Pooja (community prayer) on Sunday, July 31 at the temple from 07:30. Locals are invited to enjoy a session of bhajans and kirtans by Nagara Touch from Durban. * The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramaniar Alayam warmly invites you and your family to its annual Mariamman Prayer (Porridge Prayer) from Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24.
The Temple Chariot will visit the surrounding areas of Port Shepstone this Sunday (17th) from 09:00, for devotees to offer their prayers to Mother Sathi. Flag hosting will commence on Friday, July 22 at 18:00, thereafter bhajans in praise of the Divine Mother will be rendered.
The temple will host its annual Ganga Amman prayer on Saturday, July 23. Hawan will commence at 14:00 thereafter proceeding to My Den beach.
It will also host its annual Mariamman Prayer with hawan on Sunday, July 24 at 09:00, thereafter bhajans will be rendered. Lunch will be served, all are welcome.
