It was a double-ended sword ending for a Jack Russell and black mamba.
Snake catcher Sarel van der Merwe recently received a phone call from a resident in Marburg to help them catch a black mamba on their smallholding.
When Sarel arrived at the house, he saw the Jack Russell had been bitten by the mamba and that the family’s boerboel had severely mauled the mamba.
Sadly, both the mamba and the Jack Russell didn’t survive the encounter.
Luckily for the boerboel it escaped the lethal venom.
