MK party meets and greets in Gamalakhe

The South Coast saw a number of members of MK, a new political party, flock to Gamalakhe in a motorcade and parade last week Sunday.
All dressed in military uniform, they marched in the township and greeted people. Some of them are former and current, loyal ANC members who have now joined MK.
After the parade and motorcade, all roads led to Marburg Sports Ground, where the leaders addressed the people.
Provincial convener of MK in KZN, Commander Irvin Serame Mogale said after December 16, 2023, people of South Africa felt like they were born again, they were excited to have found a new political home which they believe in, and believe will fix the problems faced by South Africa.

“Our comrades have been working hard and asked that we go around introducing ourselves since we have elected a leadership.”
He said once formal and constitutional structures have been established, the party’s mandate and vision will be explained..
When Mogale was asked how MK is willing to help communities and what it can the offer, he said that they are facing a dangerous enemy, and as they are veterans they don’t want to reveal their plans early.
“If we talk about our plans to the media, then we will have a problem of people trying to stop us. We appeal to the media to give us time, when we are ready, we will brief them”.
According to Mogale, the event had a great turnout. It is believed that this event was postponed a few times because former president, Jacob Zuma was to attend, but did not show up.
Zuma announced in December 2023 that he will remain a loyal ANC member but will not be voting for the party. At the same time, he also announced the new MK party.
Currently the party has no formal structure or president.
