Auto tech student Shamir to represent SA in France
The young student represented Esayidi TVET College KwaZulu-Natal in the World Skills Competition show earlier this month.
An automotive technology student, Shamir Anil Dhanpath of Umtentweni will represent South Africa in France later this year.
Shamir represented Esayidi TVET College KwaZulu-Natal in the World Skills Competition show earlier this month.
At the competition, he showed off his expertise in brakes and suspension components, among other proficiencies.
He entered the automotive technology division where he excelled, winning first place at regionals, provincials and nationals at the Durban Exhibition Centre. The next leg of the competition is being held in France later this year.
Shamir said he is ‘ecstatic’ about his achievements and looks forward to heading abroad to represent his country.
