Southcity’s golf star Cameron shines
He contributed to the Southbroom Golf Club's victory in the A Division of the KZN Interclub tournament.
Southcity Christian Schools’ Cameron Olivant, a Grade 9 learner, has showcased remarkable golfing talent throughout 2024, securing his place among KZN’s top junior golfers.
Olivant’s highlights include finishing 23rd in the KZN Amateur at Port Shepstone Country Club, rounds of 78 and 72, and narrowly missing a win at the SKZN Open at Umdoni Golf Club after a playoff.
He contributed to the Southbroom Golf Club’s victory in the A Division of the KZN Interclub tournament and played for the SKZN League champions, the Southbroom Golf Handicap team.
In the U19 KZN Stroke Play, Olivant triumphed twice, clinching titles at Port Shepstone (73 gross) and Umdoni Golf Club (71 gross), with strong finishes across other tournaments.
Notably, he won the Port Shepstone Club Championship (match play) and placed second in the KZN U19 Match Play tournament at Kloof Country Club.
