Bakkie carrying children goes down embankment near Sezela

Nine people were injured.

Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to reports of a collision on the Emalangeni main road near Sezela earlier this morning.

When emergency services arrived at the scene, they discovered that a bakkie carrying school children lost control and went down an embankment after colliding with a pedestrian.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that one patient sustained critical injuries and eight further patients had sustained minor injuries,” said Craig Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service.

They were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further medical attention.
