Ugu team to do full assessment on burst pipe at Batstone’s Drift Low Level Bridge

The municipality has promised to inform residents of the restoration time needed to fix the burst pipe.

A team of specialists is expected to do a full assessment today (Friday) on one of the coast’s oldest pipelines which is at Batstone’s Drift Low Level Bridge on the mainline crossing of the Umzimkhulu Bridge.

Ugu District Municipality said in a statement that once a full assessment is completed, repairs will be carried out and residents will be informed of the restoration times.

Areas fed from the Northern system will be affected.

These areas include parts of Sheppie CBD, Umtentweni down to Hibberdene and areas in between.
