Musician, actress Aya puts Sheppie on map
She hoped that her success to date would inspire young people on the coast to think big and pursue their dreams.
Aya Msani is a South African musician, award winning actress and production manager known for her release, Ithemba.
Her latest song Sthandwa Sami, released this year, has been cosigned by Sjava and many other artists.
At only 24 years-old, she is a young woman doing some special things in the music and acting world.
Now living in Johannesburg, she hails from Port Shepstone and, in her own way, is putting the town and her former high school (Port Shepstone High) on the map.

She matriculated at Sheppie High in 2016.
Aya was on the Representative Council of Learners (RCL) and Executive Council of Learners (ECL) and used this experience to work hard and give serious thought to her career.
She finished high school in style, including being awarded colours for netball and dramatic arts, narrowly missing honours by only two points.
Since then, she has built a music career for herself.
She hoped that her success to date would inspire young people on the coast to think big and pursue their dreams.
“I hope to do very well in my career and bring light to the coast about what’s available in the entertainment industry.”
She has also achieved some fame for songs Stay, Scared, Don’t and Catch Me.
