Luncheon raises R50 000 for Gift of the Givers

Dr Imtiaz Sooliman said people with no dignity destroys a country.

Founder of the Gift of the Givers, Dr Imtiaz Sooliman visited the South Coast last Thursday, to share his life experiences during a networking luncheon at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre.

The South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Port Shepstone Business Forum hosted the event which was attended by many familiar faces in the local business sector.
Sooliman spoke about his time as a practising doctor and how he has helped people over the years.
He said that Gift of the Givers is a spiritual foundation.

“The organisation has been helping people because the country needs service and unity, as well as the services of all religions.”

Sooliman said what destroys a country is people with no dignity.

“We need to work together to help the people of South Africa.”

During the engagement session former Ray Nkonyeni Municipality speaker, Ronnie Nair said he wanted to thank the late Imraan Mahomed for the work he did on the South Coast, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I thank Sooliman for his great soul, you have passed your greatness to other people and we are thankful for that.”

After the formalities, a cheque for R50 000 was handed to the Gift of the Givers.
