Food, Fun and Adventure: Hike or bird watch at TC Robertson Nature Reserve

The 60-hectare TC Robertson Nature Reserve in Scottburgh is a coastal reserve situated on the south bank of the Mpambanyoni River, close to the mouth.

Established in 1989 and named after the famed author, ecologist and conservationist Dr Thomas Chalmers Robertson, visitors can view African fish eagles, terrestrial brownbuls, Barratt’s warbler, yellow-throated longclaws and the green malkoha.
Visitors to Scottburgh can also stock up on supplies from local eateries and head into the refreshing coolness of this coastal forest.
Take a scenic hike on one of the many great trails found here, and picnic along the banks of the Mpambanyoni River.
