Help fund little boy’s eye surgery
The funds will be used to pay the specialist to perform the operation, the anaesthetist and the hospital stay.
Baby boy Grayson Paulsen is in need of urgent surgery and his parents, Reon and Melanie, have appealed for assistance, via BackaBuddy.
“We recently discovered that our son, aged 17 months, has a cataract on his right eye. It needs to be operated on as soon as possible as it will start affecting his long-term sight if not treated,” said mom Melanie.
The Kokstad based family unfortunately cannot afford medical aid at the moment and thus need to raise R70 000 to have the procedure done.
“He cannot go on a government waiting list, as we need this done within the next three months to prevent serious damage,” said Melanie.
The family would appreciate any help.
“Grayson is a happy little chap that deserves the best, we hope to be able to book his appointment soon so that he can have the best chance at improved vision.”
The BackaBuddy account was set up on July 10 and nearly R10 000 has come in. But more is required.
