Ramsgate Lions will be celebrating Arbour Week on Saturday, September 2 at their club house in Ramsgate, to encourage the planting of indigenous trees which will help improve the environment.
There will be display tables and promotional talks on all aspects of conservation and the environment. Local nurseries will be able to advise on the trees to be planted and the public will be able to see how NGOs are working together, to improve lives.
There will be live music, an art exhibition from local artists and a colouring-in competition for children.
Ramsgate Lions will be selling their famous boerewors rolls and the bar will be open for the thirsty.
