Driver tracked down and arrested in hit-and-run in Merlewood

The incident claimed the life of the woman.

Quick-action from security officers from Lazer 911 led to the arrest of a driver involved in a hit-and-run which took place in Merlewood near Port Shepstone yesterday afternoon.

A woman was knocked down and the driver fled the scene.

Reaction officers got a description of the vehicle from bystanders and searched the area to Izotsha.

The vehicle was finally spotted in Hudson Road, Izotsha with no driver.

The Reaction team moved away and kept watch on the vehicle.

Finally when the driver approached the vehicle, he was arrested.
