Head-on collision leaves car on fire, one person dead
Following the collision one of the vehicle burst into flames and burnt out.
One person died in an accident on the N2 near Southport on Sunday afternoon.
Chantelle Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service said the person was fatally injured and succumbed to their injuries before emergency services could arrive.
She explained that when emergency services arrived they found that two vehicles had been involved in a collision.
“Following the collision one of the vehicle burst into flames and burnt out,” said Botha.

Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that one person had sustained serious injuries and four people had sustained minor injuries.
The injured were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital.
