167 live shotgun rounds found under bed near Port Shepstone

The man is due to appear in court soon on the relevant charge.  

A man (31) was arrested for unlawful possession of ammunition at Mkholombe during the early hours of Monday, September 18.

Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said members of SAPS Port Shepstone received information and targeted the residence.

“At least 167 live shotgun rounds were found hidden under the bed,” he said.

The man is due to appear in court soon on the relevant charge.

Station Commander of SAPS Port Shepstone Brigadier Nonhlanhla Dhlamuka encouraged the local community to report any criminal activities to the police on 039 6881005/1006 and to get involved their local community policing forum structures.
