Temple to observe Purtassi prayer

The temple will also observe its annual Jhunda prayer on Sunday, October 15.

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple extends an invitation to several upcoming prayers.
A Purtassi prayer will be held on Saturday, October 14 (last Purtassi Saturday). Hawan will commence at 15:00 followed by bhajans in praise to Lord Venkateswara. Prasadam will be served.

The temple will also observe its annual Jhunda prayer on Sunday, October 15. Hawan will start at 08:00 followed by the Jhunda prayer at 10:00. Bhajans will be rendered by Shree Hanuman Prathanay Kootum from Durban. Lunch and prasadam will be provided.

The annual Maha Navarathri prayers will start from Sunday, October 15 until Monday, October 23. Prayer times will be at 18:00 daily. Prasadam will be served.
Devotees are welcome to contribute and take part towards the daily obayams.

The temple will be observing its annual Maha Saraswathi prayer on Monday, October 23. Hawan starts at 18:00 followed by a special service. The tying of strings will be done by Gurukkul Mahalingam Iyer.

A monthly Muruga Shasti prayer will be observed on Friday, October 20 at 18:30.
