Free sewing master class for aspirant designers

The classes are a joint intervention with award-winning fashion designer, Makhosazana Ntshangase of Sistas Felas who is a Durban July Fashion Show winner and has a clothing line with Edgars

Esayidi Fashion School is calling on aspirant fashion designers to its free, annual sewing master class starting from November 6 to November 17.

The 10-day class will offer free lessons in garment construction, pattern technology and handling of finished garments.

Founder Zama Ntshangase said the class aims to create a platform for aspiring fashion designers to develop their skills. “We are targeting the unemployed, those who have a love for fashion and those who need to develop their basic sewing skills but have had the opportunity to enrol at a fashion school.”

The classes are a joint intervention with award-winning fashion designer, Makhosazana Ntshangase of Sistas Felas who is a Durban July Fashion Show winner and has a clothing line with a national retailer.

She said that the master class is also a way of giving back to the community who has supported Esayidi Fashion over the years.

Registration will close on October 31 and interested parties are urged to register as soon as possible as space is limited.

The classes will be held at the Esayidi Fashion School studio on 11 Robinson Street, Port Shepstone, opposite Shoprite and Department of Home Affairs.

For more information contact the school on 078 5855221 or 073 3079886.
