The long-awaited Hollywood Christmas Carnival was held in Park Rynie last Saturday.
This acting/entertainment event was created for upcoming actors by the Bruce Gounder Film Academy in collaboration with South Coast Models and Event Entertainment PTY Ltd.
Carnival attendees were sponsored an advanced method acting course by the academy where they were taught how to work with scripts, professional studio equipment, group acting, special effects make-up and more.
“We even shot a real-life action scene just outside the academy and had traffic come to a literal standstill,” explained Bruce Gounder from the academy.
“People were in awe and it was overall an overwhelming success.”
There were a number of local businesses present, including Pure Venom Reptile Park which brought some of their most popular snakes and reptiles.
Niksha Sevnaran from the models and entertainment group said that one of the highlights for her was getting the community and local businesses on board with the event.
“Everyone was engaged in this local entertainment drive to uplift and provide future jobs in this industry,” she said.
“There was unity all around and people worked together for one shared goal – to do community service.”
The attendees showed great interest throughout the day and were all interactive. During the course of the day, many bystanders stopped by to get in on the action, and a bus full of people heading to the beach nearby were equally captivated.
Bruce and Niksha thank all local businesses and individuals who helped make the day a super success.
