Holidaymakers and Crocworld Conservation Centre regulars flocked to the Scottburgh-based centre on Saturday, December 16 to celebrate the 123rd birthday of celebrity croc, Henry.
The oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity was honoured with a juicy piece of meat while party-goers enjoyed some free cupcakes.
Henry is believed to be the oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity worldwide, and has undoubtedly been a great tourist attraction for the area over the years.
He was brought to the conservation centre around 1985 where he has taken to his rather relaxing retirement.
Visitors also stopped in to check out the centre’s second-oldest and second-biggest Nile crocodile, Colgate, who at 90-odd years is an impressive specimen himself!
