Unemployed single mothers need your help

You can play a role in helping unemployed single mothers on the South Coast create a better tomorrow by supporting That Year, a non-profit organisation borne out of a collaboration between the Living Word Hibiscus Church and local businesses.

As a non-profit organisation, its sole focus is to extend a helping hand to unemployed single mothers, offering them not only a safe haven in troubled times, but also a genuine opportunity to regain their footing in life, through employment.

The name has significance. It stands for ‘To Have a Testimonial’ with That Year being a time of profound positive change, leading to powerful testimonials of strength, progress, and lasting impact.
That Year recognises the unique challenges single mothers face and has tailored its efforts to provide comprehensive support.

Through various initiatives it offers tangible assistance in the form of essential provisions, such as food, clothing and necessary supplies, aiming to alleviate immediate concerns and promote stability.

That Year understands the importance of emotional well-being and provides counselling services, offering a safe space for these mothers to discuss their challenges and to access guidance.

They are equipped with vital information and resources that empower them to make informed decisions about their futures.
