Grandkids participate in fun activities at retirement village
There were educational and fun activities for all.
It has been a super fun start to the year for the folk at Widenham Retirement Village who celebrated Grandkids Week recently.
Twenty-eight children, aged between five and 13, were welcomed to the retirement village earlier this month for an engaging programme packed with educational and fun-filled activities.
The itinerary featured exciting cycling and water sports adventures, captivating library and archaeological explorations, leisurely scenic trail walks through the peaceful surroundings, and thoughtful gestures such as delivering cakes to housebound residents.
The week-long event ended in high spirits as grandkids entertained their grandparents by participating in lively line dances and acting sketches, emulating the close-knit community spirit of the residents.
