Durban Girls’ College: Matric results surpass expectations
Recognising the learners who performed well is important, but acknowledging that students have achieved the goals they set for themselves is also vital.
The Class of 2023 has truly distinguished itself, and we are delighted to share that the overall performance of our students has once again surpassed expectations.
The outstanding results achieved reflect not only their efforts but also the supportive environment provided by their parents, our dedicated educators and the collective ethos of our school community.
Achieving academic excellence is a complex and ongoing process. It requires a holistic and collaborative approach to create an environment where academic excellence thrives. While we have world-class facilities and continue to attract top educators, it is our values of integrity, courage, agility, respect and empathy that support the way we build relationships within our school community.
Despite the current economic environment in South Africa and the recent challenges faced in KwaZulu-Natal, our school is thriving. In a rapidly changing world where communication and technology rule, education is key to providing our children with the ability to adapt and thrive.
Recognising the learners who performed well is important but acknowledging that students have achieved the goals they set for themselves is also vital. Many of them have attained their personal bests in the marks they have achieved, and we are proud of them.
We wish the Class of 2023 well as they disembark the Galleon, and we look forward to watching their progress as they go forth empowered to make their mark on the world.
