Men’s fellowship offers breakfast and banter

The men often try to include a guest speaker to make things a little more interesting, now and then.

An inter-denominational men’s fellowship breakfast is held in the mid-South Coast area on the last Saturday of every month.

The group usually gathers at a Pennington venue and spends the morning making breakfast, eating, cleaning up afterwards and then holding a discussion on a topic of their choice.

For the group discussion, the men often try to include a guest speaker to make things a little more interesting, now and then.

Recently, Neil McDonald from Khanya Hospice was invited to share a bit about the work hospice does. The men also discussed the importance of having friends and support systems.

“There are lonely people all around us, and they don’t always know how and where to meet like-minded people or to make new friends,” explained Neil.

“One has to be careful who to meet and where to meet them, so I think this men’s group is offering a great opportunity for many locals to start their day on a better note, as well as gain knowledge on some interesting topics.”

From this month, the meetings will be held at the Pennington Methodist Church. For more information, contact Marcel Langerman on 083 6262880.
