It was organised by Phenomenal Women Trading (PWT), to empower women on the South Coast.
A women’s business breakfast spearheaded by Babongile Gumede and emceed by Fundi Zwane, an actress and business owner, took place at Jaxx Restaurant last Saturday.
It was organised by Phenomenal Women Trading (PWT), to empower women on the South Coast.
Guest speakers were Asanda Ntini (admitted attorney and advocate in the high court), Danielle Beekman (founder of Muse) and Nobuntu Khalala (counselling therapist).
The event focused on networking and guest speakers enlightened the women to improve their own lives and that of other women, both in the financial space and with regards to mental health.
Twenty women were invited, most of whom were professionals, social influencers and small business owners.
“We recognise the crucial need for creating inclusive spaces where women can congregate, exchange knowledge and foster trade. We acknowledge the significant challenges that some women face due to a lack of resources and we are committed to addressing these barriers head-on,” said Babongile.
PWT also aims to start outreach initiatives, such as the distribution of food parcels in underprivileged areas.
Going forward, more such events will be planned. “Women have asked and we plan to answer.”
