SPCA staff walk for new wheels

The community is encouraged to support the event, and sponsor every kilometre walked on the day.

The community is urged to support the Lower South Coast SPCA‘s two upcoming fundraisers!
The first is a Kids Toy Sale Fun Day on Saturday, March 9 at 09:00.

Take your children and grandchildren for a wonderful family fun-filled day at the SPCA’s Uvongo premises. There will be face painting, a jumping castle, yummy treats, games and so much more!

If you are thinking of adopting a dog or cat, the kennels will be open for viewing.
The second is the ‘Every Step Counts’ walk on Wednesday, March 20.

Staff of the Lower South Coast SPCA are walking to raise funds for the purchase of a new vehicle(s).
Mike Davis, the manager of the SPCA, has pledged to walk from the SPCA’s Uvongo premises to Port Edward along the R61.

Staff will also join him on the fundraising walk.
The community is encouraged to support the event, and sponsor every kilometre walked on the day.

“The walk is a one day mission, roughly about 30km, with the aim to raise money to purchase a new vehicle,” said Davis.

He explained that two of their four vehicles desperately need to be replaced.

“Our vehicles have over 300 000km on the clock. These vehicles work 24 hours a day, travelling into rural areas and on bad roads, and are the lifeline to animals in distress”.

To sponsor per kilometre for this vehicle fundraising initiative, email: admin@spcalsc.org.za or call 039 312 0962.
