Temples celebrate Maha Shivarathri this Friday
The prayer is known as the Great night of Lord Shiva.
Several temples will celebrate Maha Shivarathri (Great night of Lord Shiva) this Friday, March 8.
Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple
The prayer will be observed from 18:00 to 06:00 the next day. The evening will begin with hawan at 18:00 followed by spiritual bhajans through the night. Service groups are also welcome to render bhajans.
Devotees can bring their prayer offerings, are encouraged to spend the night at the temple, and contribute to the four Jumuns (Obeyam prayer).

Shree Raam Narayan Mandir
A celebration takes place at the temple premises in Dairy Road starting at 17:00 for 17:30.
The festivities will include chanting of songs, bhajans and prayer throughout the night. Prasad, refreshments and meals will be served.

Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir, Port Shepstone
The festival will be observed from 18:00 to 06:00 the next day.
The programme includes an invocation prayer, recitals, hawan, bhajans and dance items. Prasadham and supper will be served.
