TAXI CRASH: One person seriously injured in Ramsgate accident

One of the taxis was transporting schoolchildren.

Three people were injured in this morning’s accident on the R620 near Ramsgate.

Glen Preston of Med-Evac confirmed that two people had minor injuries, while another was seriously injured in the collision.

They were transported to hospital by Netcare 911 and KZN Private Ambulance.

He confirmed that the accident occurred between two taxis; one of the vehicles was transporting roadworkers while the other vehicle was transporting schoolchildren.

“None of school children were seriously injured,” added Preston.
