Music duo kicks off Heather Clark’s fundraiser

Be sure not to miss the next fundraising event this Saturday.

Legendary South Coast surfer Heather Clark will represent South Africa at the ISA World Masters Surfing Championships in El Salvador in October.

An event held at Waves in Umzumbe last Saturday was the start of a drive to raise funds for her trip.

The fundraiser started off on a high note as many guests were treated to great South African tunes by Qadasi and Maqhinga.

“The event was amazing, and many braved the cold and supported me. The crowd enjoyed good music, and the venue, Waves, was amazing. I would like to thank Debi and her son Ryan for hosting the event and thank all for supporting me in making my trip to El Salvador possible.”

Her next fundraiser takes place at Schooner’s Bar and Restaurant in Umtentweni this Saturday (28th). Another evening of good music will be provided by The Black Lapels.

The talented brother duo, Rob and Garth Warren, will play at 19:00 after the rugby at 17:00. Lots of spot prizes are up for grabs, and a raffle ticket will be drawn – a raffle you don’t want to miss out on.
