Free enviro sessions for all ages
Now is the time to learn more about nature and what to plant!

A lot is happening for both young and old at the Bendigo Nature Reserve in Southport.
Spend an active morning learning about alien invasive plants on Saturday, February 15, from 08:00 to 11:00.
Everyone is invited, from learners to avid or amateur gardeners.
Come along and meet wonderful knowledgeable greenies who know heaps about all things indigenous at B-cubed Guesthouse/Leka’s in Southport – on the corner of Hazel Road and R102.
Dee Dickens, a former Durban High teacher, heads up these projects for the Bendigo Conservancy Group.
Dickens asks for each person to bring along tough gardening gloves; secateurs/loppers. Wear closed shoes or gumboots.
“Make it a cheerful family outing with some heartful community work at this little haven. The large shady trees, open lawns, a 20-minute gentle trail through the conservancy, a simple jungle gym, and a small swimming pool invite children to enjoy a safe space while the family has a delicious meal and refreshments from Leka’s restaurant,” said Dee.
Another exciting project which has kicked-off this year is the delightful, fun and educational Youth Environmental Warriors group, which has been formed for children and adults.
Everyone is invited, and the next one will be on Friday, February 21.
Contact Dee on 071 8662129 to book.
