Stonecroft meetings under way again for 2025

The next Stonecroft Morning Tea will take place at the Shelly Methodist Church on Friday, February 21 at 09:30.

Stonecroft Ministries got the year off to a wonderful start.

Friends caught up with each other, comparing Christmas holiday notes and sharing laughs over a cup of tea and delicious eats provided by the Shelly Beach Methodist Church WA Ladies.

Leading guests back to reality and the downside of the hidden addiction many face with the use of codeine was pharmacist Anne-Marie Wiggill.

She highlighted the pitfalls in the control of scheduled medical drugs and the lengths the industry was going to address such.

Where medicine is created to heal and the instructions adhered to, many choose to abuse them, often pharmacy hopping to prevent being caught out.

Whereas codeine has very good pain control properties, sadly, it is one of the highest over-the-counter abused drugs. Use it correctly because abusing it comes with attached consequences.

A song group from Norway blessed guests with their voices, even serenading them with a Norwegian song.

Mike Colby speaks Jesus. He challenged everyone to step out and proclaim the love of God to their fellow man.

He reminded folk how God knows all their tomorrows. “God knows the ending of our story and, through His Word, told us that He knew us before we were born and had plans for us to prosper and live life to its full. We make plans, but God enables them to happen,” he said.

“So, before we waste our energy and time in creating our plans, ask God to lead us into what He has already prepared for our lives.”
