Recycled hats impress at tea party

Materials such as newspapers, glass, egg cartons, and cardboard were used for the upcycle tea.

Artistic talent was the order of the day at Suid-Natal High’s Ladies Upcycle Tea last Saturday.

The ladies used recyclable materials such as newspapers, glass, egg cartons, and cardboard to make hats, dresses, cups, plates, and more.

Wearing the hats they made are (from left) Juanelle du Plessis, Larrachelle Robbertse, Kelly-Marie du Plessis, Megan Mynhardt, Leshe Robbertse, and Vatti van Zyl.

The Ladies Upcycle Tea also featured a guest speaker, Natalie Olivier, who spoke about the importance of recycling.
