Enviro Club clears beach debris

Several other community members joined the learners at the beach clean-up.

Scottburgh High‘s Enviro Club organised a beach clean-up at Scottburgh main beach last Saturday.

They had a great turnout, with learners, some teachers, parents and even community members joining in.

There was quite a bit of debris on the beach after the recent wet weather, and the clean-up was appreciated by all beachgoers.

Ward 15 councillor Dana Daniels is grateful for this initiative in Scottburgh.

She also thanked John Dorys staff, Scottburgh Lifesaving Club members and the public for their contributions.

“It’s wonderful to see young people, in particular, actively participating in caring for our environment and beaches while engaging in community activities.”
