JUST IN: Mzimkhulu bridge to close soon

Motorists will have to use alternative routes in and out of Port Shepstone from March 12.

Port Shepstone’s Mzimkhulu River bridge, the main bridge at the mouth of the river, is to be closed for an ongoing repair and rehabilitation project.

The Department of Transport said the bridge is expected to be closed for six months, starting from Wednesday, March 12 at 14:00.

Alternative routes advised are the P464 and the N2.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
