Temples to host Holi festival

Holi, a Hindu festival, is celebrated with dancing, singing and throwing colourful powder.

It also celebrates the eternal and divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna. Additionally, the day signifies the triumph of good over evil, as it commemorates the victory of Vishnu as Narasimha over Hiranyakashipu.

This year, the festival was yesterday (March 13).

However, the Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir and the Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society will observe Holi, also known as the festival of colours, on Saturday, March 15.

* The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Mandir’s event will start at 17:00. Entertainment and Holi powder will be provided. Supper will be served.

The temple also invites the public to its Hindi New Year, Chaitra Navratri, and Ramayan Week from March 30 to April 5. Weekday prayers start at 18:00 and at 15:00 on weekends. Shree Raam Naumi will be observed on April 6 at 09:30.
