Talk and walk by spider expert

The Spider Night Walk has been postponed to this Friday (21st) from 18:00 to 21:00.

The talk will be held at Bendigo Nature Reserve (Southport) at B-cubed Guesthouse/Leka’s on the corner of Hazel Road and R102.

The evening will be hosted by Bendigo Conservation Group with the talk led by Colleen Visser, an avid spider enthusiast and a former secretary of The Spider Club of Southern Africa.

She has previously led spider talks at the Southport Library in an effort to spread awareness and love for these fascinating creatures.

Colleen is a copywriter by profession and lives with her husband, Louis, and their young daughter, Allegra. Her other interests include backyard astronomy, guitar, piano and songwriting.

The cost is R50 per person, space limited to 20 persons.

A headlamp is essential. It’s best to wear long pants, long sleeves and closed shoes.
