Interruption of municipal services in Umdoni

Services were halted from Monday this week.

Municipal services in the Umdoni area have been interrupted, once again, due to an illegal work stoppage, as announced by the municipality today (March 26).

Interruptions began on Monday and are still ongoing.

It is believed that the municipality is engaging with union representatives, in the hopes of resolving the matter soon.

One of the biggest concerns is that refuse has not been picked up, as garbage bags pile up in the area.

Residents and businesses are urged to keep refuse on their premises until the resumption of services.
