No cash payments at motor licensing department

This change seeks to reduce the rate of cash handling errors, among others.

Motor licensing bureaus across KwaZulu-Natal will no longer accept cash payments for services from April 1.

Accepted payment methods will be debit/credit card or online payments through the RTMC website.

This change seeks to reduce the rate of cash handling errors, losses and cash-in-transit heists at registering authorities, improving customer convenience.

The change applies to the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality motor vehicle registration and licensing in Port Shepstone and Margate, as well as Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Driving Licence Testing Centre.
