Temples to observe prayers
A numbers of temples will also be observing Shree Raam Naumi and Hanuman Jayanthi.
The Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society in Marburg invites the community to the consecration of the Hanuman Murthi, Sivalingam and Nandi Sthapna Mandir on Friday, April 11 at 08:30 for 09:00.
The officiating priests are Pundit Piyush Mishra and Guru Krishan Kumar Mishra from India. The day’s programme will include Shiva Abhishekam, Hanuman Chalisa and hawan. Supper will be served.
The temple will observe Ramayan Week from March 30, from 14:30. Daily prayers will be observed until April 5, with Sri Raam Naumi observed on April 6 from 08:00, concluding at 12:00 noon. For further information, contact Singh Samsunder on 083 3008382.
* The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir in lower Albersville invites all to the Hindi New Year, Ramayan Week and Chaitra Navratri.
Prayers are from March 30 to April 5. Weekday prayers will be observed from 18:00 and on weekends from 15:00. Supper will be served.
Shree Raam Naumi and Chaitra Navratri will be observed on April 6, at 09:00. Bhajans will be conducted by Pravesh Sunker and Nirvav Sunker.
The Mandir will observe its Hanuman Jayanti Akhand Hanuman Chalisa recitals (108) on April 12 from 06:00 to 18:00. Invocation prayer and hawan at 04:30. For further information, contact Veena Lakhan on 067 9688282.
* Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple hosts its Shree Hanuman Jayanti prayer on Saturday, April 12. It will start with hawan at 16:00, followed by the recital of the Hanuman Chalisa.
