Gratitude was expressed to Gift of the Givers for the truckload of veterinary medicine it supplied for the animals in the community.
Scott Kvalsvig of Tidy Towns Shelly to Margate said it was civic pride and Tidy Towns progress at its finest.
“We must never forget a community is judged by how we treat animals and the most vulnerable members of our society,” he said.
Scott explained an air-conditioned storage unit has been set up at Makuluskop Banana Ripening where the local NPOs can fetch the supplies, instead of from Pietermaritzburg.
He thanked Kim Williams for arranging the supplies and Andre Erasmus for fetching the load safely.
