Local is lekker for South Coast band
A newly released video shot in and around the coast is getting a 'like' from locals.
A music video shot at various locations in and around the South Coast is making waves – and for all the right reasons.
The new song and video called ‘South Coast Ride’ is by pop/rock band Element 3.0.
Despite being the ‘new kids on the block’ they have already captured the South Coast’s attention and are gaining popularity with their new music and vibrant live stage performances.

The band’s frontman is Edwin Muller from Uvongo – a talented vocalist, guitarist and songwriter.
The standby band members, Taban van der Pijl and Kyle Underwood on bass, and Mikaeel van der Wath and Donovan Visser on drums, are from around KZN.
Edwin thought it was about time to write a song about his journey and the place he calls home.
“I came up with the whole concept and idea. I had to make sure it is a catchy sing-along song. There are so many great locations on the South Coast, but we could only capture so much footage in one video,” he said.
Edwin said they had loads of fun and engaged with the locals in the streets and on the beaches. “Everyone was curious as to what we were up to,” he added.
“The song and music video are free for the South Coast public to share and use for tourism purposes, social media and marketing. I don’t expect compensation.”

Edwin said the music video has done a lot better than he expected. So far, it has more than 100k views across all social media channels.
Almost everyone has seen it; even the petrol station attendants have been congratulating Edwin, as it went viral on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp.
“I’ve had people waving at me everywhere. So it’s all new and exciting. I love that everyone is enjoying the South Coast song and its music video,” he said.
Edwin is currently working on his next original song to be released in the near future.

Catch the band live at Douglas Mitchell Sports Pub and Grill on March 28 or at Pistols Saloon in Ramsgate on April 4.
