Easter is a time of hope

The powers of darkness will not and cannot prevail.

Right from the Passover festivities at which Jesus was crucified, the celebration of Easter has been a source of hope for all who put their faith in Him.

At that meal Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me.”
Central to the message of Easter is the fact that when Jesus rose from the dead, it signified the defeat of the devil, death and the power of sin.

In a world where we are continuously exposed to negative forecasts of disastrous climate change, economic collapse, high crime rates and ineffective government, we can understand the prevailing hopelessness in South Africa.

Easter encourages us once again. Jesus is still alive. The devil is still defeated. The powers of darkness will not and cannot prevail. So put your faith in the One who was raised from the dead – Jesus our Messiah.
