Help combat conservancy’s aliens

Help improve the reserve and give a few hours back to the community.

Make it a cheerful, informative outing while learning about the safe removal of alien invasive plants and building healthy soil.

What are these alien plants?

Invasive alien vegetation refers to plants brought to South Africa from other countries, both intentionally and unintentionally, that cause human, environmental or economic harm.

Without natural enemies, these plants reproduce and spread rapidly, taking valuable water and space from indigenous plants.

Bring the family and friends and head outdoors to Bendigo Nature Reserve this Saturday, June 7, from 08:00 to 11:00.

The alien invasive plant removal initiative is an ongoing project of Bendigo Conservation Group.

Meet at the B-Cubed Guesthouse/Leka’s in Southport on the corner of Hazel Road and the R102.

Bring sekateurs or loppers. Wear closed shoes or gumboots, long sleeves and pants.
