Curiosity leads to waterfall find

Marius Aucamp was amazed to find a small and peaceful waterfall.

Marius Aucamp’s curiosity led him to stumble on a waterfall near Spillers Wharf.

The Port Shepstone resident said while he was looking for river stones he saw a stream, which led him to a waterfall in the bushes.

“I discovered it last September. While walking, I made a path and continued along the stream until I heard gushing water.”

Aucamp said he was amazed to find a small and peaceful waterfall.

It takes about an hour to and from the site, via a slippery path.

Aucamp added the waterfall flows into the Mzimkhulu River.
